10 days Annapurna Base Camp trek (budget trek)

10 days Annapurna base camp trek, also known as Annapurna Sanctuary is the world-famous and fascinating trek into the Himalayan Mountains to the base of Annapurna I, the tenth highest peak in the world is one of the stunning treks in the Annapurna region. This is one of the few treks that combines much diversity of landscapes and brings you so close to the base of 7000 and 8000 meters peaks in such a short period of time. The most visited 10 days Annapurna base camp hiking is an easy and pleasant trek up to the base of mighty Annapurna I (8091m). The trail starts from the lowland and goes through terrace farming villages, lush rhododendron and bamboo forests to high altitude landscapes with the Annapurna range in view most of the time.

10 days Annapurna base camp trekking tour holidays commence after a scenic drive or flight from Kathmandu to the vibrant city of Pokhara. This is a gorgeous city, surrounded by the Himalayan peaks and tropical hills. We will have a chance to explore the city and boating on Phewa Lake. The next day, transferring to Phedi or Nayapul, both places are starting points of Annapurna base camp tour, the trek continues to Chhomrong, a beautiful Magar village on the lap of the gorgeous Annapurna south.  The trail continues down to Chhomrong River and climbs up to Sinuwa from where mighty Fishtail Mountain gets close by you. Walking through a bamboo forest to Dovan, Himalaya and Deurali towards the Annapurna base camp we get rewarded by the views of towering peaks and vast rock walls. From Deurali the landscapes change into the barren and as the gorge widens, we climb to Fishtail (Machapuchare) base camp at 3700m on the lateral moraine of Annapurna south glacier. The steady ascent to Annapurna base camp reveals the full splendor of a huge natural amphitheater. Here at base camp, we are fascinated by 360-degree views of Himalayan giants including Annapurna I, Fishtail, Gangapurna, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and many more snowcapped peaks. The stunning Annapurna glacier is another marvelous thing to see from Base camp.

We trek back to Chhomrong and continue to Dhampus or Nayapul, on the way back we can enjoy the natural hot spring at Jinudanda. 10 days Annapurna base camp trek has three different itineraries.
