Tilicho Lake Trek Cost US$ 830 for 12 Days

Tilicho Lake trek is a stunning adventure trip in the Himalayas that takes you all the way up to the Tilicho Lake which is one of the highest lakes in the world. The lake is situated at 4949m in the beautiful Annapurna range of the Himalayas in Manang district of Nepal. The Tilicho Lake hiking tour is getting popular among the adventure seekers as the trek can be done as a teahouse trek. While doing Tilicho lake trek, no camping is required as new lodges have been built in the region.

Tilicho Lake base camp trek 12 days begins with a local bus ride or a private jeep drive from Kathmandu to Chame, this is a small town with tourist standard guest houses, from where the trek really begins. The trek continues along the Marshyangdi River, with great views of Manaslu and Himal Chuli to the east. This magnificent trek leads you to the fine village inhabited by a wide diversity of people from different ethnic groups, offering spectacular and majestic views of the white Himalayas. We have specially designed this route as it is basically the same as Annapurna Circuit, from Manang instead of taking the valley north to Tanki Manang and Yak Kharka this route goes to the main valley to the west passes through the Khanshar Village (The Last Village of Nepal) and trek up to Tilicho lake, then we trek to Yak Kharka then up to pass of Thorung La at elevation of 5,416m. From the pass of the Thorung La the treks lead down to Muktinath then to Jomsom from where we have a 35minute scenic flight to Pokhara.

Tilicho Lake trek cost: we have an unbeatable offer for a small group of adventure trekkers travelling with friends and family.

Trip FAQ

Trip FAQ

Not that fit. If you don’t bother walking up-stairs and can walk for a few hours at a time, this trek is for you. That’s not to say, it will be easy each day – you can be exhausted and your legs might get hurt. But if you take slow pace and take some day with acclimatization, drink enough water and listen to your body, you can make it with no major issues. Engaging you in cardiovascular exercise, leg training, aerobic exercise and short hiking few weeks prior the trek would be the wise decision. It boosts up your strength and stamina. Note: Because of some steep uphill and downhill trail route, rocky paths and rock steps, Tilicho trekking would not be appropriate for anyone with knee problems or weak ankles. Anyone with the problem of heart or lungs must consult the doctor prior the trek. Be noted that the medical facilities are very basic on the trail.

You will have enough options of staying in local lodges to tourist standard hotels in some places during the trek. You will have food and accommodation in tea houses. In the busy season you might adjust in kitchen rooms.

You can order from the available menu where you are going to stay. Because of the well-developed trekking route, this area offers continental and local Nepalese food available.

Yes you must have travel insurance which can cover the helicopter rescue and medical fee coverage in case of any kinds of emergency. Sometime altitude sickness makes you in difficult situation and need to airlift to Kathmandu. So the insurance need to cover these expenses.
