Langtang valley trekking in 9 days is a comfortable trek for who are willing enjoy the panorama view of white snowcapped mountains within short period of time and this trekking region is closer to Kathmandu than other trekking regions. The Langtang valley is aptly called the valley of glaciers here; mountains raise soaring toward the sky. The region offers pine forest, swift mountain streams, rugged rock and snow-capped peaks, grassy down and meadows strewn with daises and wild animals. In the upper part of the valley there are snow ridges spanning angry torrents, high passes enveloped in mist tiny lakes of crystalline brightness and glaciated mountain giants. Once you enter the Langtang valley you fluttering buddies prayer flags, brightly painted.

Easy and comfortable access to 9 days Langtang valley hiking holidays, just after the monsoon, this trek gives superb views of the great peak of Langtang Lirung (7246m) which dominates the upper valley and straddles the Tibetan border. In spring time it is an ideal place to spot birds and flowers of Nepal. According to a legend, a lama following a runaway yak discovered the valley, hence the name -Lang (Tibetan name for YAK), Tang (more currently "Dhang" means to follow). There are good opportunities for moderate climbing excursions here, you should allow some extra days for exploration of the extensive glacier system. Our return route takes us past the holy lakes of Gosainkunda, an important place of pilgrimage, and over a high pass that brings us almost to the edge of Kathmandu valley itself.

Day Highlights
Day 1 Kathmandu – Syabru Bensi:
A local bus drive to trekking starting point. Syabru Bensi is about 9 hour drive which provides you mountains scenery and landscape. Stay overnight there.
Day 2 Syabru Bensi to Lama Hotel
Trek through a variety of small villages and tracts of dense forest, The trek becomes a pleasant walk through trees where Langur monkey (The honey hunter animal) frolic, passing a sice stream and small waterfalls. Stay overnight in Lama Hotel.
Day 3  Lama Hotel to Langtang:
From here short hike brings us to the right of where the Langtang valley begins as you start going up you will be able to see the beautiful view of Langtang Lirung peak. It is easy to find yak and the wild goats wondering around you. Overnight in a lodge.
Day 4  Langtang valley to Kyanjing Gompa:
A beautiful town which provide excellent panoramic close up view of Langtang Lirung Genjempol, Ganjala and Naya Kenga Himal ranges. A visit to cheese factory, see the beautiful Buddhist Monastery built 400 years ago. It is a good experience to try to climb to Tsergo Ri (5033m)
Day 5 Rest day at Kyanjing Gompa:
Explore around the glacier and himalayan Yak pasture.
Day 6 Kynanjing Gompa to Lama Hotel, Trek down to Lama Hotel, overnight in camp.
Day 7  Lama Hotel to Big Syabru Bensi: trek back to Syabru Bensi
Day 8 Syabru Bensi to Kathmandu:
It will be about 8 to 9 hour drive back to Kathmandu.
Day 9 Drive from Syabrubesi to Kathmandu, 8 to 9 hours drive.

Trekking in Langtang region is suitable for almost all people with moderate fitness. It does not need any prior experience and running, walking, and swimming are the fitness activities to get involved in the excursion. If you are suffering from any diseases or have any health issues you should consult with your doctor before considering to trek. It is normal to face little problems before being fully acclimatized.

According to the size of your groups, it differs. The vehicles will be small and light so that it can be handled easily and safely through the narrow roads of Nepal. It can be a car, minibus, land cruiser, van.

Autumn (September to November) and spring (March to May), these are the best season to go on a trek in Langtang Region. The sky is clear at this time, and you will get to see panoramic views of Langtang Mountains.

Trekking in Langtang valley is considered moderate in difficulty level, but still, a good level of fitness is required to complete the trek. As long as you are physically fit and possess sound health, you can go on this trek. We have a flexible route with enough acclimatization and rest days before heading towards higher elevation.

Trekking period in Langtang valley depends on the trail you choose to go on. It can be 6 days short as well as more than 13 days long.
