Everest Gokyo Lakes trek is considered a traditional trekking that offers magnificent views of the mountain peaks and the Ngozumpa Glacier, the largest glacier in the Himalayas. The image of this region is associated with the towering views of the most popular mountains in Nepal, at an altitude of above 8000m such as Cho Oyu, Everest, Lhotse and Makalu which are clearly visible from Gokyo Ri above Gokyo Lake. One of the most remarkable features is the view of the tremendous ice ridge between Cho Oyu and Gyachung located in Khumbu region.

Everest Gokyo lakes trekking starts after a 35 minute flight from Kathmandu landing at Lukla (2860m) tiny airstrip, where the adventure really begins. We spend the next few days trekking and interacting amongst the mountain people also known as Sherpas, we stay at local lodges and trek into the heartland of their villages. Everything is organized in combination with Sherpa people and its culture. Along the trek we will pass the legendary Buddhist monasteries with the views of Everest, Ama Dabalam and many other snow towering mountain peaks getting closer by the day. We will have rest days in the villages of Namche bazaar and Gokyo valley that will allow us to explore the regions and to acclimatize, which is very essential too. After climbing to Gokyo Ri (5480 meters), we return at a leisurely pace back to Namche bazaar and Lukla for our flight back to Kathmandu.
